Trust Infrastructure

Secure Filing Overview

This page describes the security controls around electronic filing and the transparency signals available throughout the filing lifecycle.

How we encrypt and transmit data

  • All production traffic is protected with TLS in transit.
  • Confidential filing and identity data is stored with encrypted-at-rest controls.
  • Secrets and API credentials are managed through environment-level secret storage.

IRS transmission

ProTaxAdvisors transmits returns through a controlled IRS channel and preserves submission state in an immutable audit trail for later review.

  • Submission IDs and acknowledgments are persisted.
  • State transitions are tracked from compiled submission through status receipt.
  • No uncontrolled reuse of IRS payloads outside authorized channels.

What happens after you file

  • Acknowledgment state and acceptance are surfaced in the Client filing dashboard.
  • Evidence pack generation includes immutable filing artifacts when available.
  • All state transitions are logged for audit and dispute support.

Evidence explainability

Filing metadata records include submission history, transition reasons, and artifact availability to support investor and audit review without exposing sensitive taxpayer data.
